Dave Pack: Those That Refuse To Follow Me Will Lose God's Spirit

Davey has set himself up as his won god handing out punishments with glee.  As if he has the power to even suggest such a think would happen.  Davey thinks that because a person refuses to follow him that he has the power to cut them off from this freakish thing he calls god.

There is a personal element to the Zechariah prophecy. Previous announcements explained that a loving God has a Master Plan to bring every individual with His Spirit back to His Church. Every true Christian around the world who does not take action—at a certain crucial moment evidenced in Haggai 1:12—I repeat, will lose God’s Spirit. Put another way, there will be no remnant of the remnant! Those who resist the powerful “stirring” of God’s Spirit in them—who continued ignoring the voice of Christ—have ended their relationship with God. God is unmistakably clear that this is what happens to such people.
We learned that God’s people are waiting for reunification, but mistakenly believe it is not yet time. When God provides a clear opportunity, He expects His people to ACT—and quickly! Haggai 1:12 makes plain that a forced choice—by God—lies just over the horizon! This announcement explains this moment of decision. I repeat yet again: those who do not come—laymember, minister, rich, poor, young or old—will LOSE GOD’S SPIRIT! Both Haggai and Zechariah support and confirm one another in this regard. God will be DONE with those who do not follow HIM to HIS House to do HIS Work!

For it is written!!

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Last week I was not sure Dave was foolish enough to risk his ego on dates and ideas that he did not have an out for. The other choice was he is slipping badly mentally. I am leaning towards delusional slippage...

Mr. Holey Spirit Said:

"I repeat yet again: those who do not come—laymember, minister, rich, poor, young or old—will LOSE GOD’S SPIRIT! "

This will be another keeper for the times to come.

I believe I will pass but thanks. Whatever spirit is in Dave Pack would not be my Holy Spirit of choice. I'd have to have a direct talk with God over this one and whether this was really the only choice on the planet.

Gentleness, goodness, meekness, patience, longsuffering? pffffft

Gaul-ations 6:6 PAC (Pompous Ambassador Control version)

For the fruits of the Spirit in Wadsworth are arrogance, pomposity, threatenings, exclusivity, superiority, division, heartache, low self esteem, projection, fairytales poopiness and really bad theology from which turn away.

This is exactly the sort of rhetoric that is not at all persuasive anymore. I see right through it.

"We learned that God’s people are waiting for reunification..."
We did?

"...but mistakenly believe it is not yet time."
If these so-called "people of god" can, by your own admission, "mistakenly believe" this, what else might they be capable of thinking must be true, even though it isn't? A lot of things, Dave. A LOT of things.

"God is unmistakably clear..."
Over the last 2,000 years, the one thing that your god has never been, is clear. About anything. It is people like you, Dave, who capitalize on that staggering LACK of clarity to peddle your snake oil, potions, and tonics. You, like HWA before you, depend on that lack of clarity to keep decent people going around in circles, looking for something--something that certainly does not exist in Armstrongism--somthing you and everyone else calls "god"--while you pick their pockets.

"Every true Christian around the world who does not take action...will lose God’s Spirit."
Since what you call a "true christian" is no such thing, and what you call "god's spirit" isn't something that I judge anyone in Armstrongism is likely to ever gain any firsthand experience of--I certainly know I didn't--if it exists at all. I, for one, am not shaking in my boots, Dave. These people you call "god's people" and "true christians" have nothing left to lose. You, and others like you, have already taken their money, and what you now threaten to take from them they never had to begin with. Not if we're being honest about things. What you're actually doing, is playing games with what is, in truth, a false hope. You're engaged in a "game of "hope" with other people. In one hand, you claim to have the power to give "hope," and in the other, you claim to have the power to take it away. It is cruel the way you play with people's lives. But you don't really have anything to give and no power to take anything away. You're like the Wizard of Oz. You're a terrible wizard, and an even worse human being. It is a cruel and despicable game you're playing just so you can get your dirty mitts on their money.

"Those who resist the powerful 'stirring' of God’s Spirit in them..."
WTF? How is anyone to know whether it's "stirring" or whether it's just indigestion? Just one more thing that "god" isn't powerful enough to be "clear" about. Just one more thing it's possible for "true christians" to "mistakenly believe."

"...will LOSE GOD’S SPIRIT!"
Blah, blah, blah. Blaaaah, blah, blah. Bleh. Blech. Blegumph. Excuse me. Had a little "indigestion."

"...those who do not follow HIM to HIS House to do HIS Work!"
Who? That do not follow who? To whose house? Where? To do what? That location isn't on my googlemaps.

Sorry, Dave, you lost me at "Master Plan." All I heard was "Final Solution."

Anyone who has the Holy Spirit and chooses to follow Dave Pack will lose it.

And by "lose it" I don't just mean the Holy Spirit.

Dave, following in the footsteps of his father (John 8:44), wrote:

"... Every true Christian around the world who does not take action—at a certain crucial moment evidenced in Haggai 1:12—I repeat, will lose God’s Spirit..."

But another Father says something else:

"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30

Is the day of redemption here yet?

What does sealing have to do with God's Spirit?

"Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts." 2 Corinthians 1:22

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," Ephesians 1:13

For Dave Pack: shall we believe you, who lies to us, or those verses? By your fruits we know you. Apparently, you do not "know thyself!"

Here is something else, Dave, you can't do, but God the Father will do:

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" Phil 1:6

And Dave, just by those words alone, God the Father does not perform, or finish, what He said He would do in that verse (and the ones above), the He would be a liar just like you...

Just think, Dave is now free to go out this, or any other, evening to survey the newly acquired addition to the RCG estate, and perhaps sometime soon, stakeout the best plot of land for his future private luxury home. Reminds me of a story once told by a PCG minister's son of his Saturday afternoon on virgin land with tall field grasses and a couple of small quiet lakes, sharing a bottle of bubbly with family and close friends, as they envisioned future exclusive get-togethers.

The life of a single sheep is cheap, and life is unfair in 2013, and RCG members are the worst of the worst narcissistic enablers of all time.

Read and learn from PCG history, RCG enablers, this mad rebuilding project has all been done before in Edmond, OK, only on a large-scale, by comparison.

For Dave to be making and believing this kind of statement, he would have to be a member of the deity. Is that what he is fearlessly implying here? HWA always took the role of gatekeeper, claiming the keys of Peter, assuming control over the place of safety, stating that his church was the only source for, and had the only doctrinal approach through which one could receive the Holy Spirit, and that the only path to the kingdom led through his church, which he always called "God's Church", but over which he maintained complete autocratic control. He refused to allow that an all powerful God could call anyone except through the Radio/Worldwide Church of God.

Dave has already stated that HWA confided in him that someone would come along after him and do a greater work (something that HWA never taught from the pulpit, leaving us only with Dave's word on this). Jesus foretold that when He returned to the Father, He would send the Holy Spirit to the followers of "the way", something that was fulfilled on Pentecost. Scripture indicates that the Holy Spirit is an interactive mentor, capable of being grieved, joyous, and other emotions reserved not for an impersonal force, but for a person. That Dave would claim that Christians with a daily personal relationship with God could somehow lose the Holy Spirit just by not following him indicates that Dave does not understand the Holy Spirit, and considers "it" to be his personal toy, pretty much a function of himself. This would seem to counter the sealing and sanctification processes which are an integral part of the Holy Spirit's work, as John posted above. Christians sin, the Holy Spirit convicts them, or pricks their hearts, and then goes to work picking them up and helping them along the way. That is the sanctification part of the process. It is what every loving parent does for one's children. Why would failure to follow Dave be a special sin, one for which the punishment is loss of the Holy Spirit? That would be the spiritual and moral equivalent of leaving your children at the mall!

Basically, what we are seeing here is spiritual bullyism. God gives free will, freedom of choice. He advises us to "choose life". Jesus tells us in Revelation that He knocks, and He advises us to answer. Apparently, the decisions God values are the ones we make freely and without reservation. Dave is setting up what can only be termed as duress. He is attempting to back people into a corner so that he and the RCG become the only choice. In his Old Covenant understanding, armed with some history which he relabels as prohecy, he resembles Machiavelli more than the Jesus Christ of the New Covenant.

Caveat Emptor; Let the buyer beware!

This is blasphemy! He is playing God. The blind following him will be very disappointed one day. If only they read their bible, they would see many false doctrines of man.

Revelation 3

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I repeat this is BLASPHEMY!

Get out of there people! Rebellion is as witchcraft. Many are called, but few are chosen. Why Pack?

Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ha-ha, Flurry has been featuring his 'The Zechariah Booklet' video all weekend long on the Trumpet.com, in hopes of re-educating the RCG losers on the real Joshua tree, and who, or what in the world, are the three worthless shepherds. GF also ensures that it will be a magnificent double reward to someone, if they can come to his understanding.

If only they can get past the KoD opening introduction, where HWA says for the umpteenth time "Revelation, as I said before, is the principle book of prophecy in the New Testament of the Bible!" [NSS] without being bored to death, then again, they're probably immune to CoG repetitiveness by now.

Ephesians 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

NOT one church!!
NOT one "man government"!
NOT once saved always saved!

IT IS STILL ABOUT THE PEOPLE ISRAEL COMING TOGETHER, that is anyone accepting the Son, the Savior, Redeemer, Forgiver of sins, and obeying the Father in all. Those that obey His voice and NOT your voice.

i would like to offer some insights and perceptions to any from the greater ACOG community who visit here, and who may be considering joining Dave Pack's work.

If you were in a situation on the street where an average looking opponent started mouthing off, talking way over his head, extreme bravado, making threats which you know that he normally could not back up, the normal assumption would be that he had secreted some sort of weapon of which you were not yet aware, or that there was something wrong with him, possibly mental illness, or drugs. An experienced street fighter or officer of the law would avoid taking such a person on one on one. The take away is this: Do not subject yourself to one on one counselling sessions with Dave, or his ministers. He is attempting to create an artificial sense of urgency by placing a timeline on the prophecies which he is making, but not calling them prophecies. Do not be suckered by
this timeline. Be patient, proceed with extreme caution before burning any bridges, and wait to see whether what he says is going to happen actually does happen, on the dates he says they will happen, or whether this is simply another example of meltdown.

There are no emergencies for God, because He is all powerful. There is not one example of Jesus in the New Testament treating something as an emergency, even the death of His friend Lazarus. He calmly went about doing His Father's work. Man sometimes gets too much ego involved and "spikes" the message with fear rhetoric, or emergency rhetoric, but God calmly and methodically goes about doing His work with no sense of emergency.

Think about it.

Of course people who refuse to follow Dave will lose God's spirit...because, after all, Dave has power over what God does. And, if Dave wanted to, he could make God send Jesus...er...Christ back to earth today. Yep, he has THAT kind of power!!

Hey, if Dave wanted to, he could call down fire and brimstone from heaven and roast every one of you other splinter group heathens...damn right he could, you better believe it.

I believe the actual opening KoD quote from HWA is "RevelationS, as I said before, is the principle book of prophecy in the New Testament of the Bible!"

It is actually the (one) Revelation, or Apocalypse to John, but, whatevers.

Job 38:2 Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge.

Pack now has the authority to say who has the Holy Spirit...to have a closed door policy, etc...

One thing for certain is that God above has ended a relationship with Pack long ago...he denies the Son.

Luk 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

Luk 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Grasp This! You are lost Pack and loosing your mind too.

Interesting "CHOICE" that DCP gives people.

EITHER follow DCP and be absolutely certain to lose all your freedom, and all your money, and all your earthly possessions, and all your sanity too, OR ELSE reject DCP and supposedly risk losing some invisible thing.

I had really hoped that DCP would turn out to be a good guy who was simply teaching the truth of God, rather than just another satanic freak full of lies and thefts.

I have been wondering all this time, where are you getting all these Dave Pack quotes from? Sermons (bless you for actually listening to those!). Letters? Just curious.

Shout out to Byker Bob. Your comments on this thread are spot-on. Wish I had a "like" button.

And just for the record, my UCG parents haven't spoken to me except for a hateful accusatory letter in more than 2 weeks since I told them I was leaving Armstrongism. Kinder, gentler cult my ass...

NO2HWA said...

Lurker: all of the quotes are from a weekly letter that Davey publishes every Friday afternoon for the last several months. I would not waste my time listening to Packtard, though I probably should so I could catch more of his lies.

Thanks for the kind words, Lurker! I wish you the best on your new journey, and I hope that one day your parents will mellow in their attitudes towards you. One of the things I'm really looking forward to in the kingdom is Jesus straightening out the wrong teachings, our misconceptions, and misunderstandings so that we can all have our families back. Won't that be awesome? Until then, all we can do is to try to keep from pouring gasoline on the fire. Often the most difficult conflicts arise with the people we love most.

Good luck, and enjoy your freedom!

Once Pack proclaims Holy Spirit supremacy within his organization, he must then publish the names of the two end-time witnesses without any further delay. Surely, by now, his god knows their names.

The hard deadline at the end of September is fast-approaching. Only two more months remaining, Pack.

Hang in there, Lurker. UCG is not benign by any means. The perpetuation of a system that is, at its core, justified primarily because HWA said so, is mind-numbing. I stopped by their website to see what the Feast dates were, because we have family passing through on their way there next month. Right on the front page was a headline declaring that Jesus upheld the practice of tithing. Predictably, the article proved no such thing, and a beginner Bible student could run rings around the logic presented. It's shocking to realize how feeble most of our explanations and doctrinal positions were in the WCG years ago. And yet these denominational "leaders" keep recycling the same mistakes, year after year after year.

Loose means not fitting tightly as in the connection is loose.
You mean lose as in having lost something.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. You're right, this is a time where probably the most effective thing I can do is just keep from making things worse. Turning the other cheek, showing grace, all that good stuff I am not getting from the only true Christians on earth, right? ;)

"Dave Pack: Those That Refuse To Follow Me Will Lose God's Spirit."

Those who do follow David Pack are in danger of losing literally everything they have--including the Holy Spirit--and becoming atheists when they see the evil that is done to them by David Pack in God's name, and that God allowed them to fall for.

This is the real danger.

RCG members will all end up living in fear and dread and "walking on egg shells" so as to try to avoid incurring the wrath of Pack. All the snitches in the RCG each snitching on each other will make for a lousy experience. At the same time that the plundered and impoverished RCG members fear and tremble, David Pack will feel totally free to throw all the temper tantrums he wants to. As someone once noted, David has a lack of control in the temper department.

RCG members will get into serious trouble for asking the wrong questions, while David Pack will feel totally free to fly into satanic fits any time the (evil) spirit moves him. Expect it to move him even more in the future, after you have too much invested in that racket.

Sometimes you just have to ask yourself, "What would Herbert W. Armstrong do?"

Do you think HWA would ever submit to someone like David Pack?

Do you think HWA would ever submit to anyone, anywhere, anytime?

Or, would HWA write an article about SPIRITUAL TERRORISTS to explain his refusal to submit to such people.

With con artists like David Pack, the only safe course of action is prevention. Once David Pack has your house and your retirement savings and all your money, it will be too late. You will never be able to get any of it back. He will hang on very tight to what you so carelessly gave away.
