David C. Pack: I, Along With the True Believers Will Soon Hear Christ's Audible Voice

More proof that Dave Pack is having mental issues.  Jesus Christ and/or his god, is going to start soon speaking to Dave and the Restored Church of God.  Dave and his followers will HEAR that voice.  Unconverted losers will be unable to hear that voice though.  Even Herbert Armstrong never made such outlandish statements as this.

Confirmed in Zechariah

Zechariah 6 brings more proof of God using a literal voice, and in a context directly related to the remnant. The word “shall” all through verses 9-15 indicates the events described have not yet happened. Much explanation could be brought to this longer passage, but for now realize that verses 12-13 will carry more meaning when we move to the next subhead:

“Thus speaks the Lord of hosts [to Joshua], saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and He shall grow up out of his place, and He shall build [the Hebrew can also mean repair] the temple of the Lord: even He shall build [again, repair] the temple of the Lord; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and He shall be a priest upon His throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both…And they that are far off [Heb. means “long ago, of old, remote in time or space”] shall come [speaking of the returning remnant in context] and build [repair] in the temple of the Lord, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the VOICE of the Lord your God” (6:12-13, 15).

A statement by Dave in the following paragraph shows just how theologically bankrupt he really is.  Scripture says that Jesus came to reconcile the entire world back to the Father so that no one should perish.  Davey's god is going to "winnow" out the undesirables from the church.  Quit a contrast between Jesus' word and the word of Dave!
The Hebrew for “voice” is again qol, not dabar or amar. This amplifies Haggai 1:12. In fact, dates in Zechariah show that he foretold how God would use His voice several weeks before Haggai recorded that the people heard it. Get this point. Christ will use His actual voice to get the attention of His sheep. This is what He says, not what I say. But this is no surprise because He says that He will do this at times. And He has done it periodically. Christ will winnow out those who do not belong in His Church. He certainly will not speak to those who do not have His Spirit about coming back to a Temple of which they have never been a part—hence WHY some will not hear the voice and others will. Because people once attended the Worldwide Church of God or today are attending your splinter is not relevant. Having God’s Spirit is relevant. Prophecy reveals that probably most will hear Christ’s voice and make the right decision. But others will not obey what they hear and Zechariah 11:10-11 explains that God will immediately—“in that day”—remove His Spirit and cut them off from Him.

Here is the scripture that Dave IGNORES:

The Lord isn’t slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
The Lord is not slow in doing what he promised—the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to be lost, but he wants all people to change their hearts and lives.
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it. He is patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

It would be very easy to believe Dave hears voices! Oddly enough, he credits the one possible source which we know these voices cannot be coming from. Why not? What he is reporting is not consistent with the personality of Jesus as described in the gospels or Revelation.

I recently read through a couple of Dave's books on the RCG site, and he is good at ignoring certain passages in order to push his own theology....

I used to think of him as a misguided Church member, but now I have to wonder if he has ever truly been in The Church.

Dave actually said something I agree with completely:

"Because people once attended the Worldwide Church of God or today are attending your splinter is not relevant. Having God’s Spirit is relevant."

Of course this applies to RCG too.

Dave should have listened to one of HWA's favorite jokes!

A farmer in his field looked up into the sky, and saw the letters PC in the clouds. He took that to be a message, from God, went back to school, and entered the ministry. But, nothing seemed to be right after that. When he died, he explained his situation to God and asked for an explanation.
God told him, "My son, you were mistaken! I was merely attempting to encourage you. P.C. did not mean "preach Christ", it meant "Plow corn!"
