Waiting For A Miracle: Another Story Straight from Life In the Church of God

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

As we all know, physical sickness is a result of physical sin. Now you won't find that in the Bible, but we do know it is true because our Apostle told us it is true. Then he told us it wasn't true and then we could go to doctors that the prayers of God's people would cause God to cause the doctor to find the solution to heal. And then the Apostle went to the doctor for healing, and it was so.

Do you feel confused?

Just have faith and ignore reality.

Yep, nothing galls a rabid Armstrongite more than to see a SUCCESSFUL African American or one that has a healthy biracial family.

They are expected to stay in the back of the bus or in the kitchen like HWA kept his cook.

That's the perversion of British Israelism on the COG. I spent 50 some years listening to Meredith and other asses taking about the "gentiles" that were uncouth, lazy, always pregnant, violent and many other descriptive accusations. I am glad he upsets you , makes you uncomfortable and afraid to face the truths of your racist life.

Man, I'll tell you what, 10:58. I am so grateful for the ways in which intelligent and witty minority people have enriched my life. You are really missing out! Why not learn to paint with all the colors from God's pallet? Makes life more exciting by adding many more possibilities and opportunities.

Fortunately, WCG flunked in terms of educating me away from my own innate color blindness. In high school, my black buddies would invite me up to their old '56 Oldsmobile to drink beer with them in the parking lot. This was an honor which was bestowed upon only only one other white classmate. I sure did enjoy dating gorgeous ladies of all skin pigmentation, as well, especially my cinnamon girls!

One day, Bubba, you're gonna look in the mirror and sadly realize that you made a left turn on a red light!

God USES the physical to accomplish His purpose for physical, flesh and blood human beings. He uses earthquakes, floods, PHYSICAL disasters for different reasons. He doesn't just make things appear out of thin air, like one man I knew in the PCG believed. He got all distorted in his facial expressions, and backed away from me when I told him that I thought the 10 plagues were brought on by a nearby volcanic eruption that God had caused to accomplish His punishment he put on the Egyptians.
So the same way faith,...(Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1),(the spiritual), can work with doctors (the physical).

It's funny, I guarantee you that any of the people that believe only in faith healing, would take their son or daughter to the doctor for a broken arm, leg, anything...what about a car wreck. Would they refuse treatment? NO, unless they are a complete moron, and then CPS takes your kids away. HOW STUPID WERE YOU??

I remember people in the PCG going to doctor's,(secretly), and I also remember a friend of mine before she died had told me BRIAN DAVIS,(a Regional Director in the PCG) had accused her of not having enough faith, because she didn't feel well enough to travel to the feast one year. She kept telling the minister and BRIAN DAVIS she wasn't well. They didn't believe her and called her a "party girl" because she loved to line dance. They refused to believe her back hurt her a lot because she would line dance. They didn't want to understand that the moving around made her back feel better. Those PCG ministers and Regional Director's had ZERO WISDOM and ZERO EMPATHY.

Well, I got a call from her around 3:30 in the morning in Feb. 2011. All I heard was a strange moan. I knew it was her because it was her number. I called 911 and an ambulance arrived and found her lying on the floor unable to speak. She had a stroke. She was taken to the hospital and died about a week or two later. She was 73 I believe. None of the ministers or BRIAN DAVIS believed she was as bad off as she kept saying she was.

Brian Davis' first wife died young and endured excruciating pain from cancer. She refused treatment (I am guessing it was her choice). BRIAN DAVIS didn't waste any time in re marrying after his first wife passed away either. He had three young children and no one to help hi...BOO HOO! Welcome to WOMAN'S WORLD BRIAN. His suffering wasn't long lived though. No, he was married very soon afterwards.I guarantee you BRIAN DAVIS would run to the hospital first sign of HIM having cancer. I just can't see him ever suffering one bit, NEVER!

Amazing how those >GREAT GODS< of the Philadelphia Church of God are SUCH WIMPS!!

And as for this jackass...

Thank you Glynn (aka "whiny negro"),

There are many among us who have had similar experiences, and your sharing your experiences on Snap Judgement is a good and helpful thing.
