Is James Malm's Mixture of "Deadly Error" to be Trusted?

A reader here asks:

I was wondering about James Malm and if he is someone we should be following. He seems to have a lot going on as far as teaching about God. Now he is writing booklets and trying to explain about everything from prophesy to Passover. If you have seen his many blogs you will know what I mean. The only thing that bothers me it seems like the bible if true is the only book needed, not someone trying to explain what God has already explained, which means adding to the word of God, I want Gods take on what he says not James Malms. I am split as to what to do because in one sense he seems to know so much and in another sense there is just something I can't point out but worry about if I believe him. He may have a lot of truth but I worry about if there is any error, and truth and error mixed is a deadly combination. Thanks very much for all your work in showing error of others, I have learned a lot and thankfully haven't gotten sucked in to listening to others because of them being exposed. I will continue to follow your site and hopefully one day you will get a chance to let us know either way about Mr.Malm. Thank you.
So the question is, Is James Malm to be trusted?

Congratulations. Consider yourself a Lutheran. At least at heart. When Luther wrote "sola scriptura" or scripture alone, he was saying no less about the needfulness of the Catholic church as you are now reiterating vis-Ă -vis the needfulness of James Malm. Only it seems you don't entirely trust yourself enough to follow through on that realization. Hence you go on to second-guess yourself.

I think it's perfectly fine to second-guess yourself and explore other logical avenues. But I would advise you not to forget about this avenue, and inadvertently shut the door on it.

Given that, why narrow the field down to asking only if James Malm is to be entrusted with explaining the bible to you. Is anyone trustworthy? If they were, how would you know? On all matters or only on some? If not all, then who should be trusted regarding what? And upon what basis could boundaries be reliably drawn around this matter as opposed to that matter? If you can figure out to navigate this already foggy morass, consider yourself a better man/woman than I.

James is one of those people that thinks he knows the truth. As far as that goes, we all to an extent believe the same about ourselves.

Never the less, some take more time to dig as deep as humanly possible into whatever subject that they are studying. Besides relying on the bible they read and study historical references, in addition to mediating for days or longer until things become clear. At this point they draw a conclusion.

If they are humble, they will not close the doors to further revelation to the subject, but will continue to be willing to examine or re-examine their current belief, if serious data comes along to initiate additional study.

Never single source your spiritual education to one individual, or to one group. Rest assured that if James Malm had lived at the time of Jesus, he would have been right in there with the bands of Pharisees who were confronting Jesus. Follow your conscience by all means, but I personally believe that Mr. Malm is missing out on the whole idea of daily Christian living.

It is human nature to desire a teacher, because we tend to think that teachers know the things which we do not, and would like to. In way too many cases, that is simply not true. Plus, many of them bring bad baggage along with them. The Bible tells us that wisdom is found in a multitude of counsel. Since there are no Levites, or Levitical authority, use the discernment God gives all of us to borrow occasional useful nuggets from a variety of knowledgable teachers, but don't allow any one of them to take over your entire life, finances, family relationships, healthcare, retirement arrangements, etc. They are all human, and all make mistakes, and some are both angry and arrogant. You don't need those sorts of influences in your life. It is best to take personal responsibility for spiritual matters. On judgment day, your minister is not going to be standing next to you as your defense attorney.

Hope that helps!

Let me answer you by asking you this.
Where is the Moon today? If you don't know, you could be in error! Not only that, did you personally witness the Moon yourself? Relying on other people for the facts and cordinates is lazy. Trust no one. Rainy days and Satan's ways will pull you off the path...blah blah blah

"The only thing that bothers me it seems like the bible if true is the only book needed..."

Dude! There are SO many untrue and outdated things in the Bible that it would spin your head around!

Should I rape your daughter and then you read the Bible to find she'd then have to marry me???

Dude! not that I'd really consider that an option but, people who consider the Bible more than a work of literature are missing out on some interesting and realistic things.

Woe unto you, dude! LOL!

Mr friend,

There is almost NO TRUTH WHATSOEVER in James Malm's teachings. If you only knew how little of what he says is actual and correct and how much is diametrically opposite of the truth, you would run for the exit screaming and kick yourself in the stomach for listening to ANY of these religious frauds.

Search within yourself for your TRUTH - that's the only place anyone can find it.

Question was: "Is James Malm's Mixture of "Deadly Error" to be Trusted?"

No, and here is one example:

Not too long ago James posted a study on the Book of Acts where he wrote:

"...28:29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

Paul under the protection of the Emperor because he was a prisoner of the Empire; was kept under house arrest and allowed to preach freely the true Gospel of Sincere Repentance and Salvation through Jesus Christ, as the way into the Kingdom [Family] of God!..."

Salvation is through Jesus Christ - period!

But James likes to ADD to scripture and use his own ideas. Where in the Bible does it refer to the "Gospel of Sincere Repentance?" Nowhere! James Malm preaches some form of Fear Religion and puts burdens upon all of us. I am surprised he did not use the word "zeal" in his comment above.

James needs to learn that Jesus Christ is our Passover sacrificed for us...and that is a done deal! Why does James have to keep trying to tell us that that is not enough, that we have a part in this salvation, that we could lose salvation, or gain salvation, by anything we, any human being, could do? James "deadly poison" is to convince us that Christ's sacrifice wasn't/isn't enough for salvation.

And besides the Bible says: "It is better to trust the Lord," but no confidence in man or princes ... even James Malm with all of his zeal.

Another example of poison?

James has written that: "...God was made flesh and placed inside Mary!..."

The Bible says The Word was made flesh.

By James Malm preaching the "poison" that Jesus Christ was something more than flesh, blood and bone, a human being just like us, he preaches a poison called: the spirit of antichrist. James makes Jesus Christ out to be something He wasn't, kind of like some "freak-boy," ... not any brother like us. That happens when anyone strives to make Jesus out to be a human being......and somehow have some "God" in there too.

What is the spirit of antichrist?

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." 1 John 4:3

James Malm does not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He believes "God came in the flesh," and that is false and because James does not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, just like you and I, he denies the Father and His Son:

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Yes, James has painted himself as one of the antichrists, because his message is wrong, but he is too self-righteous to see this about himself. He is also too busy point his fingers at others, who are not thinking exactly as he does.

James Malm is constantly putting other COGs down and pointing the finger how wrong they are in almost every article he does, and making out that only he has the truth. He constantly is causing division trying to get others to follow him because if only he has all truth then God must be only using him to teach Gods word. James comes across as a self righteous know it all and as John said he is too busy pointing fingers at others who are not thinking as he is.

James Malm causes some to leave other churches by his slamming those churches and or their leaders, always trying to do Gods job for him. If they are laodecian they are still Gods churches, God tells them to repent not leave and join somewhere else. James should know God hates it when someone causes division. I notice in his comment section he only allows those who say something nice about him, he can't seem to handle criticism at all and won't put any others comments up that disagree with him, he has to be the one that is right no matter what, and he is right, at least in his own eyes.
